Rooms after nine
A room changes character when the last daylight goes.

After nine the room runs on artificial light. Ceiling panels, a monitor, a phone on the table. All of it tuned for the middle of the day.
The lens sits between the room and the eye and takes the short wavelengths out. What remains is warmer. The concrete goes brown, the linen goes cream, the screen loses its edge.
Nothing about the room has moved. Only the light reaching you has changed.
